partial Home Remodel [completed late March/early April of 2017]
These 3 bathroom tile pics are part of a larger scale project [including drywall, patching, and skim coating throughout the house] that we completed in late March 2017.
Rental Apartment refurbish
These pictures are from a rental apartment refurbish completed in March 2017. The apartment's previous tenant was a heavy smoker, and the apartment showed it. White fans, walls, and trim were covered with a yellow film that required wiping down and a fresh painting. We changed the color of the walls to "passion", which gave the apartment a nice look.
Basement - Drywall Installation, March 2017
Picture are several pictures from a basement, drywall installation project we completed in March 2017. The ceilings were, for the most part, already complete, which made the project a swift one. This project took us 1 week to complete [install, tape, and sand - prime ready], from start to finish. It was 32 sheets of drywall [including 12' sheets], in a main area, bathroom and laundry, with a few windows.
Large Drywall Project, featuring arched doorways - completed early March '17
Pictured are some of the arched doorways from a large [150+ sheet] drywall install/patching project that was completed in late February/early March of 2017. It was a challenging project on an older home [over 100 years old]. We often had to stabilize/patch plaster walls or match new areas of drywall with existing plaster walls.
February 2017 Drywall patching
Pictured above are the before, during, and after pics of a drywall patching project completed in February 2017. The area patched was primed, and the ceiling textured, but not painted as the house was being prepared for sale to an investor.
1/2 Bath remodel, fall of 2016
Pictured are the before and after pics of a half bath [plus utility room] remodel we completed for a client. The client's plumber installed the toilet and sink after we took the "after" pics, and therefore they are pictured here.
Bathroom Remodel, featuring subway tile - July 2016
These are client provided pics from a bathroom remodel completed in July 2016. We kept the same plumbing, added a fan/light above the bath tub, exposed [and replaced] a window in the exterior wall in the bath tub area, and installed subway tile. On the floor we installed large porcelain plank tiles.
New partition wall and door install - june 2016
In order to add another bedroom to their home [10' x 10'] our client requested us to build this partition wall with this sliding glass door. 06/2016
Exterior Paint Refreshening
Entryway Painting [Knoxville] - This entire entryway [door and ceiling] needed a freshening up, as well as a little TLC for the door jam. We used Satin white, exterior [Benjamin Moore] paint for the finish.
Apartment to Utility room Remodel - Fall of 2015
This remodeling project in Knoxville, TN [completed in the fall of 2015] converted a 1 bedroom apartment into a multi-use space, complete with 2 - 1/2 baths. Nice bamboo flooring, chair moldings, 7 1/4" floor moldings, and decorative moldings around the door decorate the room. As recommended, the client went with a two tone look for the walls. Likewise, with the desire for good lighting, we installed 24 LED condensed lights. We are in the process of installing the crown molding in the main room.
The hallway and bathrooms feature wood plank style tiling on the floors, as well as a variety of tiling on the walls. Likewise, we went with the same pattern of moldings as used in the main room.

This paint project was completed in late February, 2015 [Brooklyn, NY], and consisted of this hallway, a dining/living room, a 20' corridor, and a bathroom ceiling. While the same colors were retained, there were several areas that required extensive patchwork, even closing up of large holes. Benjamin Moore [regal] paint was used for the walls and trim; standard Benjamin Moore ceiling paint was used on the ceiling.
This Kitchen Remodel [Brooklyn, NY, 2012-2013] was part of a complete apartment remodeling project that we performed [under a previously owned business, Tikkun Contracting Inc], which included the bathroom remodel below this caption. The kitchen remodel involved opening up the floor plan, by removing the partition wall, and installing support beams. This took the kitchen from a congested 6' x 8' to a spacious 8' x 10'. We ran new plumbing and electric, and purchased new appliances. The cabinets are factory made, 1/2" plywood, with a cherry finish. We installed crown molding on the cabinets, installed granite counter tops, with a double sink. Included in this kitchen was the installation of a stack washer/dryer [due to a lack of space elsewhere in the apartment]. Although these pictures do not show it, we later installed a 4" granite back splash. We installed 11" x 11" porcelain tile on the floor, and painted the walls with Benjamin Moore [Regal] semi-gloss, Atrium white [which has a light reddish/pinkish tint to fit the cherry cabinets].
This Bathroom remodel [Brooklyn, NY, 2012-2013] was part of the same complete apartment remodeling project as the kitchen above. It was a complete gut job, except for the cast iron tub [which we resurfaced white]. There was a hole in the floor near the toilet, due to rotting beams, which we had to fix and level, first. Likewise, we increased the size of the bathroom, slightly, to make room for a small linen closet. We slightly altered the supply lines to the shower body, and changed the shower body. We installed white fixtures, and 6" x 8" rose colored tile, while painting the walls with the same Benjamin Moore [Regal] semi-gloss, Atrium white paint that was used in the kitchen.
This cabinet refinishing project [Bay Ridge {Brooklyn}, NY] was completed in late June, 2012 [under a previously owned business, Tikkun Contracting Inc]. The owner wanted to lighten up the look of the kitchen, by painting the cabinets. This required us to prep the cabinets with a light sand, and 3-4 light coats of Benjamin Moore, oil-based paint [semi-gloss, linen white].
This plaster repair and paint project [Bay Ridge {Brooklyn}] was completed in early August, 2012 [under a previously owned business, Tikkun Contracting Inc]. The complete project consisted of fixing the plaster walls throughout the home with mesh, a skim coat, prime, and paint. Although the pictures with the unfinished walls are not the same room as the finished ones, they are from the same project and represent the condition of the walls on the right, prior to repair. In addition, we installed all the door and window trim, and the floor moldings. The moldings around the doors consisted of 3 parts: a thin beveled molding, a 1" x 4", and a small piece of crown molding at the top.
This room remodel [Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY, 2011] consisted attaching drywall to a brick well, completely reinstalling the drywall on two other walls in the room, painting, floor moldings, and crown molding. A young couple was about to have a baby and wanted to make some changes to the room, with the biggest concern being a small crack in the brick wall. Additionally, the client was careful to emphasize the need to protect the floor.
This Bathroom remodeling project was a low budget project performed in 2010 [Bayswater {Queens} NY], under a previously owned business, Tikkun Contracting Inc. The client had purchased a foreclosed home that had been damaged prior to vacancy, and needed to upgrade it to habitable condition to close on the property. We removed the sheet rock and damaged tile area; reran the plumbing, installed a inexpensive, right leaning tub and fixtures; installed the drywall, cement board, and some nice, but inexpensive tile that the client had purchased. However, the client wanted to paint the walls himself, as a result of his low budget.
There have been hundreds of projects that we have done, which we do not have photos for here. However, it is our hope that these projects can serve as a sample of the work that we do.
